figured out 1690 code
well I have been around and around with my truck lately it was hunting for overdrive and the check engine light came on with p1690 and p1693 codes showing, I tried cleaning all the grounds, sheilding the wire over the alternater, reseting the APPS, so I ended up replacing the lift pump with the Holley blue on the frame rail and it turns uot thtat it was the problem the truck was not getting enough fuel so it was defueling the truck and making it down shift, I just thought I would pass the info along.

Code 1690:
Fuel injection pump CKP Sensor Does Not Agree With ECM CKP Sensor.
I don't see how a Holly Blue pump fixed your problem? I'm glad your truck is running good again.

Mike D I tried everything else that I could get my hands on in the search fourm for the problems I was having I had planed on replacing the stock lift pump anyways so i did and the next morning i was going to take the truck to the dealer to see if they could figure it out, went out and started the truck to let it warm up and came out to leave and the checkengine light was off, got the code cleared and has been fine since, if you look at the description of the code that you gave which is correct if the lift pump was not sending enough fuel that makes perfect sense because the set amount to have in the ecm sensor and the amount the injection pump was sensing would not match up hense the code 1690 and the chek engine light.
