Well, I'll throw this out there and see where it lands. Could it be possible when you wrote the stock program back to the ecm via the superchip tuner, that the code(s) were cleared (overwritten by program) then? I know who would know, and that is Marco, he knows these ECM's like nobody's business. You might run this by him and see what he has to say.

No codes are a good thing, but chasing down electrical gremlins can cause you to bang your head against a wall.

Beenthere,

Casey

Well, just got back from tinkering. Since I reset the truck back to stock it wasn't slobbering. I just came in from resetting my truck to "tow safe" and it's slobbering around 70mph again. SOOOOO the only thing I can think of is that the reset timing on the "tow safe" mode is causing my VP44 problems. Any thoughts???? Thanks everyone.

Tow safe is the lowest setting? Try one of the other settings and see what happens, could be the tuner itself.

I need a few opinions please. Since I DID have a 0216 code but no longer should I still take it to the dealer? Since I no longer have a code I'm scared that they will tell me nothing is wrong. And I also have a feeling that if they replace something it will just be the lift pump and not the injection pump. I think since I had that code that my VP44 is damaged and would rather have it replaced under the 100,000 warranty. Do they test the VP44 itself VIA schrader valve?
