Before you keep flooring the petal and blow the injection pump you need to make sure you have good fuel pressure.
What rpm's are you turning in 4th at 70 mph. Is the engine hesitating or stumbbling?

no hesitating and no stumbling. the rpms were under 3k in 4th (i have 3.55's), i wouldn't expect a lot of power there but 5th wouldn't pull. I'm guessing the waste-gate was stuck open.
I don't floor it often - I want this puppy to last a looooong time. i'll know the pressure tomorrow. I'm having it checked when I'm @ work. This will be the first time in years I've let someone else look @ my junk.

Update:...................
New $129 pump arrived, new pump installed.
New pressure @ idle 16 psi.
New pressure @ WOT 11 psi
Old pump at idle would show 15psi , then drop to 10 psi and hang there..
Once engine RPM was over 1,000, pressure would jump back up to 14-15 psi.
2,000 RPM cruise was still 13 psi, & WOT never dipped below 10 PSI just like always.
All electrical connections were clean, fuel filter looked good.
Weeeeeeird, but the new pump seems to have fixed the trouble.
I'm gonna tear into the old one later and see what the trouble might have been.

I know what you mean....Sometimes pressure on my LP is higher when you would expect that it should drop because of an increase in fuel demand. Weird to say the least.....I have been told it is the needle and seat that is wearing out that causes the erratic pressure fluctuations.....who knows? Let us know what you find when you are finished with your LP autopsy!

On another note...........
The "site" for the $129 LP has just raised the price to $139
Hope you all acted quickly enough to get in on the cheaper price.
