Here is my dilemma guys, right now I need to buy my wife a new or slightly used vehicle first cause she is the one transporting the kids most of the time. So that being said, I need to find a used engine out of a wrecked truck or just find a good auction website and buy and fix up a repo or salvage truck. Cause there is no way anyone is going to buy my truck with a cracked block. Don't want to put 5 grand in a truck that is only worth 8 to begin with. Anyone know of any good auction sites that I don't have to drive 2000 miles to look at it?

I am in the St. Louis area, and I am not in a emergency situation where I need a truck or preferably an engine tranny combo. Just would like you guys expertise on where and what the best deals are.

Until you find a long term solution try some of this. I used one bottle and have had no leaks since. You can put it in the radiator with antifreeze, just make sure you remove enough coolant before poring it in the rad.

I just completed a 1000 mile round trip with 4x4 offroad stints in the desert carrying a cabover camper and extended 70+ mph highway driving.
Zero leaks and the heater core worked great.

Want to ask a question without trying to seem like I am selling something. I might be trying to sell my truck here soon, and I was wondering if there is anyone on here that would be in the market for buying it with the cracked block. This is not a for sale ad! I just want some advice as to if I should part the darn thing out or is there a chance that I could sell it as is? It is not a for sure thing yet but I have to decide what I am going to do, as I have other prospects on the horizon, If I have gone against the rules of the site, I apologize. Figured this site was the best place to ask.

I'm sure someone would be interested, but with a cracked block the value is reduced by 3-5 grand.
I'm always in the market for not rusted fixerupers.
shoot me a PM if you decide to sell.

Nuther update -
I just travled 700 miles at mostly 65 - 85 mph and did not loose a drop of coolant. Give this stuff a try before blowing a bunch of cash -
