engine starting to lose power

I have a 98.5 3500 with 200k on it. just the other day it started to skip when I would step on it and then when I got to a hill it would lose power and blue smoke came out. If you are not calling for a lot of power like hills it runs ok. I changed fuel filter and did nothing what should I start to look at next I have had 2 injector pumps put in in the past but the truck never did what it is doing now it always just died. could it be the vp44 starting to go or mabey fuel pump
any ideas would be helpful

thanks

If the lift pump is goin or gone your vp will be next.

I would get a fuel pressure reading before driving it too much more or you may be in for a vp and an lp.

Its fan problem, the fan which get start when engine is start.
Rather than it could also be problem of oil switch.

Check or replace fuel filter. By from cummins or parts store, rather than dodgde.
