engine RPM

Hello everyone, been away for a while (yea, I know you did not notice ;D ), hope everybody is doing well.

The question is:

At about 80 mph with the cruize control, the engine is doing about 2600 prm. Is that OK?, bad? how bad?

Thanks,

Peter

What gears do you have and what tire size?

Re:engine RPM

With the stock 265's and 3.54 gearing, mine would be at 2125 RPM's at 80 mph. You must have 4.10's.

Re:engine RPM

Have you noticed the cruise control doesn't work above 85MPH?

Re:engine RPM

I dont think that is a problem. Some guys tow around those rpms or higher. Cummins says these motors can run high rpms all day.
