Re:engine and rear end oil choices
Rotella, Delo, Valvoline Royal Blue, Amsoil - all 15w40 will work just fine. Just keep it changed.

I swapped over to a synthetic in the diff. I am using amsoil now but in the past I used mobil 1 and still put 1 bottle of friction modifier.

Re:engine and rear end oil choices
Amsoil offers 2 different lubes for the rear, one for LS and one for open rears. You should not need friction modifier with Amsoil.
I'm running Amsoil front to rear, but do not have an LS in the rear.
I just changed my engine oil with 16K on it, and took a sample. The analysis came back stating I did not need to change the oil. I'm goin for 20K this time, and will start sampling at 15K. ;D

Chris

Valvoline Premium Blue in motor. Fleetguard oil filter! Valvoline 80-90 and two bottles of Mopar friction motifier in the differential.
