Anyone ever thought about putting an electric fan setup and remove the fan on the engine? I have not seen any electric fans available for the Cummins. Just a thought. Maybe a little better mileage?

I have never had a fan on my conversion Dont do much pulling with it but when I do it doesn't get hot (I watch it like a Hawk) I do have a set of electric fans that I got out of an Impala just in case I want to put on

Won't save fuel. Will cost as much as $600.00 Nothing wrong with orginal setup. You can take fan off in cold weather if you like.

pertaining to electric fans, how many amps are guys running in your a alternators?

There is a nice aftermarket dual fan setup that comes with a nice aluminum shroud and attachments for the overflow bottle and wiper fluid, however guys on the site didn't feel it made much difference so I passed on it and put it at the bottom of my want list. Its a lot of dough for the little difference they though it provided and felt it didn't cool as effectively in hot weather towing. They are called flex-a-lite fans IIRC.

I have a Mopar-Horton electric fan, The bad part is Dodge does not carry them any more, when mine went out had Mr. Bob locate me one and Old Man Bob 4X4 installed it!
