EGT Question While Towing.
Ok I know this is like but I want to know once and for all. Ok while towing up hill I seem to be holding the reins on the ol girl once i get to a hill were 5th gear is a must i drop down and lay the hammer down and I am running about 2100-2200rpms with lots of pedal left and my pyro is settled around ohhh 1050-1100 degrees but with the 4'' turbo back exhaust once i let off a little she will fall back to around 900-1000. OK question is running at around 1200ish goin to really hurt any thing with a Van Aaken V5 and a 4'' exhaust? Cause once i creast the hill my pyro temp fall off back to like 800 to 900degrees. I am just wanting to know for sure because when my truck was stock no exhaust no box just a pyro 1200 is were she like to hang out on the hills so iam at a lost do i give my truck some reins and let her run out or do i hold her back? Thanks Jason
P.S.-My water temp never so much as budges from 190degrees unless i got the a/c on then she will creep but never out of the safe operating zone.

you can pull 1200 degrees all day long. pre-turbo.....
ive hit 1600 towing several times (stock turbo) but i dont hold it there
i have held 1350-1400 degrees for a short amount of time though.
so dont worry about 1200. i wouldn't go above that though...

Good I doubt with the exhaust I can even make it get over 1200 cause I have hard time getting too it in the first place I just was wondering cause it felt like I am holding her back because she feels strong as heck at 2200 rpms but I chicken out cause I seen my temp getting towards 1200 so throw that out the window and now I will set my radar to stay away from 1300-1400temps
