Edge EZ and Tuner Stacked

Edge EZ and Tuner Stacked
How many of ya'll have stacked an EDGE EZ with a Tuner ( Superchips or Hypertech ) ?
I have an EZ, but I just want to squeeze out a little more HP ( and I don't want to buy a wire tap box ).
Should I go for it ?
Will my stock (47RE auto) tranny hold it ?
I expect it would hold it better than say a 275s addition....

There are a few threads on this. A search on superchips or stacking will give you a lot of info.
In essence it will add about 30 hp at the rear wheels on the high setting. It should be ok as long as you take it easy (no power breaking). If you get the RV-275s all bets are off. I would at least get a shift kit and torque converter pending the condition of your tranny (clutches, bands and seals). There are several places that sell good kits for our tranny or you can do as I did, get the whole tranny then you know the condition of everthing. Here is where I got my upgrade.
http://www.suncoastconverters.com/dodge.html Some of the other guys can tune in that have the other setups. They are all better than the stock slush box.
Note if you try this be sure to unplug the EZ and hook the truck back up stock when you run the tuner. The Superchips tuner will reprogram the truck computer and if the EZ is hooked up it may try to reprogram it as well. When you are finished with the tuner hook up the EZ and have fun.
You might want to check your lift pump while you are on this path. If you plan to exercise the VP-44 it would be a good idea to install the high flow banjo bolts. They are cheap and they help the flow.
I just noticed you don’t have gauges in your signature. YOU WILL NEED GAUGES!
Hope this helps.

Turboprvite I am inerested in knowing more about how the stacking works as well. I recently installed the superchip and am satisfied for now but have read different articles stating that a boost elbow and fooler would compliment it. Does anyone know where a fella can get these or would it be well advised to spring for an EZ that already has them? Does anyone know what power benefits one has over the other as far running with the two stacked or complimenting the chip?
