Good job! How's she running? Got any tips for a fellow shade-tree?

If anyone has one of these special pullers could you please provide me with the dimensions so i can make my own?
I have access to machine shop tools and can make my own, don't need it yet but i'm sure with my comp i will need one soon enough.
thanks

The puller I used was just like this one.

I just needed two 8-1.25 X 70mm bolts to fit the timing gear.

Just unscrew the vent on the timing cover and you will see the gear. Measure the distance between the bolts and drill a 1/2" plate that distance, with 8.2mm holes. You shouldn't even need a puller bolt in the center, you can just tighten down the 8mm bolts into the gear and tap the plate, that should pop the gear right off. Once you break the taper bond it's off there.

Ed, did you put the bolt in the middle of the puller? It's been a while for me so I don't rememeber exactly. It seems like there wasn't enough room to use the bolt in the middle so I just tightened it down, as explained above, and tapped on the puller.

Yeah Chris, I used the center bolt with the bearing base against the pump shaft.
Tightened everything down pretty good, then gave the gear a couple of decent taps with a small hammer, gear popped right off.
