Today I found out that I had been riding without a drivers side spring shackle for quite some time. I had no problems getting the upper and lower bolts off using a 24mm and 11mm wrench with lots of WD-40. I can't see any trouble fitting the upper bolt back in as it fits in from the spare tire side out.
