Doing Tranny Solinoid and sensor... Any Suprises?

I have good instructions thanks to cbrahs but just want to be sure I am not opening a can of worms or that there are not any springs that will go flying never to be seen again.

I always had a problem with the "rooster comb" (shift valve) spring and ball flying out whenever I pulled my valvebody. It usually stayed right there on top of the VB, but one time I completely lost the ball. Ended up pulling one out of an old bearing I had kicking around because I needed the truck the next morning. Watch for the accumulator springs when removing valve body as well, they stand straight up into the trans so not very hard to keep track of. Keep a good clean area around the truck, I used to put a heavy blanket under the truck to catch anything I dropped. Other than that, as long as you don't peel the VB apart you should be fine.

Be prepared to take an ATF bath. Other than that, pretty straight forward.
