Dodges new fix for transfer pump
#62
What is the "Glacier fix" and why is it better than Vulcan?
What have other peoples experiences been with the Cummins Campaign pump?
How many people with FP gauge and Vulcan have had a VP44 failure?
My Cummins pump has been good. At $60 or so, I can live with a new one evry 2-3 years.
We spend that much on a few oil changes.

Okay, I finally got my vp44 replaced and I replaced my LP with a OEM Carter...all I could afford for now. I originally bought a dummy light for the pressure, but later decided to get an electric fuel pressure gauge also. Here's my question: I've noticed in a lot of the reading here that for my 99, it's normal to put the sending unit on the filter cap. On later models, it's suggested to put it on the vp44 inlet from the filter. Why can't I put my sending unit on the inlet of the vp44? I want to keep the dummy light since it is a bright LED that is on the leading edge of my dash right above my air vent (easy to notice) and I want to put the gauge on my pillar. Is there a reason why no-one suggests the inlet side on my model year? I have a tapped banjo bolt and a 45* elbow fitting for the sending unit.
For anyone interested, I bought my vp44 from Midwest Fuel Injection (mwfi.com)...fast delivery, no-charge core (30 day grace period) and only $1046 total.
Thanks to everyone's input in these forums.
