Difficult reverse

Put a new con ofe from southbend in my truck and in the last 800 miles its getting harder to get it in reverse. It now will never just go in you have to go into 2nd move forward then reverse now sometimes it only goes in half way backup lights come on if you let out the clutch it pops out of gear if you try to push it on in it grinds like the clutch is not even pushed in. Just change the fluid to redline mtl with no change old fluid didn't look bad at only 45,000 miles.

Did it do it before you changed the oil?

It did it as soon as i put the clutch in thought it might be everthing new still stiff but didnt get any better then changed fluid to mtl and still no difference still a bear to get in reverse.
Is it possible for the slave cylinder to be going bad? I heard they had a problem in 01 with slave cylinders going bad.

If anyone is reading and has the same problem it was the slave cylinder to much clutch or i should say to much pressure plate. I went to my friendly dodge dealer and ordered a kit for a 97 diesel that is alot bigger slave cylinder after changing the ram that hooks to the clutch pedal the 01 is 2inches longer than 97 model,it all works flawlessly. Less pedal pressure and i now found reverse with ease.
