Differential options? (Lockers)
What are the best option for a locking diff ?A.R.B. air locker is this the best for the $ or Dana truelock any pro or con ??? I have 3.55 stock open gears. Got a great deal on the truck, ;D all options except LS. Thanks Paul

Any locker is going to be better than the factory LS. The ARB is probably the best, if you have the $$ for the locker and air compressor. There are also a couple of electric lockers out now, and they should be a little less than the ARB. I don't have any experience with the Dana Trulock, But I have a Trutrack and Detriot locker in my Jeep. The Trutrack is not really a locker, more like a really tight LS. It's never let a wheel slip like a LS though. The Detriot Locker as been talked about maybe a month ago on here, try a search. I like mine, but it has some quirks, like it will lockup every now and then driving down the road, causing the jeep to jerk a little. Not bad if you know it's coming. I'd stay away from the "drop in" lockers (powertrax & lock right). They're not strong enough to last behind the cummins.

I like the fact that lockers like the Detroit Locker are "automatic" in the fact they can react a lot quicker to slippage than wishing the ARB or other had already been turned on!
