Differance between Gen2 & Gen3
Hello everybody first time writer I'm new to the cummins and was wondering what the difference is between the to motors all so what is a VP44 that I was reading about on another post thanks Jonathan:confused:

The VP44 is the rotory injection pump (electronic)used in the 24 valve 2nd gen dodge pickups. These are the year 98.5-2002 models. The 12 valve 94-98 models all had a P7100 inline injection pump (mechanical). The 24v motors were 235 hp with the exception of the 01 and 02 six speeds which were considered High Output motors and were rated at 245. The 12v motors ranged from 160 hp to 215hp. Ok I got some numbers of the engine plate can these numbers ID what it is
ie: common rail or what actually is also what it came out of
numbers are
CPL 2624
250hp @ 2900rpm I get that bit
ISB 250
Fam 2CEXH0359BAE
