A little off topic here....I race a circle track car (76 Nova) on a half mile. Small block 350 with about 325 horse power. I have headers on and i used to run straight pipes. We now have a db rule , and i broke it by 10 db's. A few uys at the track gave me advice and told me to buy a diesel muffler, but they didnt have part numbers for me. Has anyone tried any different mufflers and found any difference? I will be running a Y pipe with a 3 inch out on it and would like to connect a single diesel muffler to it. I could step it up to 4 if i had to off the Y pipe. Looking for good performance and cool sound if anyone has any ideas...

This one is easy contact speedwaymotors and buy a real race car muffler. They are cheaper than you think.

At our track, they are getting rid of the race mufflers , I have Schoenfelds on and they are too loud. They want all our cars quieter, looking for something with a 3 inch inlet...One of the fast dudes uses a diesel truck muffler, and the track promoter, tolf us to get what he has, since he's quiet and fast...
