Welcome to DTR
Sorry for your situation, we'll help all we can and then some.
Do you have a fuel pressure guage?
P0251 = Injection Pump Fuel Valve Feedback Not a good thing.

I finally was able to get a guage and get to the truck, I checked fuel pressure at the test point no the side of the VP-44 and had 11psi, on key cycle. I did not have a wrench to crack an injector line, will get back to the truck in the morning.
Thanks for any and all help

I had more time today to check it out better, I checked fuel pressure on the side of the VP-44 inj. pump, it had 11psi at key cycle and droped down to 2 psi while cranking. I then checked fuel pressure on the side of the of the fuel filter and had the same results.
The Dodge service manual states
Fuel Transfer (lift) pump Pressure with engine running Min 10psi. (engine won't start).
Transfer (lift) pump Pressure with engine Cranking Min 7psi.
So with the results I got i changed the transfer (lift) pump, well i got a bad one, cycled the key about 20 times and only 3 times did it ever pressure up had about 15psi, but then when i cranked on it it droped to about 5psi. I then poped the inlet line loose and could not feel the pump pulling a vacuume. Tomorrow i will put a vacuume guage on the inlet side to verify.
2001, 2500, 4X4, quad, all stock.
