well the pump is out and i picked one up today for $1095 at diesel injection in forest park, ga. the guy there was telling me that the vp44 will fail if water got into it. he was saying diesel has alot of water in the fuel and the napa filters (like i am currently running) will not screen the water out. he gave me a aqua filter. and i also picked up a funnel seperator that you put into the filler neck of your tank and it will let diesel go through and not water. he filled it up with water in the bathroom and the thing would not leak a drop. it was crazy. but anyway scheduled operation for the new vp44 to go in is saturday if the weather holds out. thanks for the info.
