cruse control keeps accelerating

I have a 2000 2500 Ram: When the cruse control is set (say 60) it will just keep accelerating faster and faster. Anyone have any ideas?

Could be a vacuum leak or clockspring going out.

Check for codes and reply.

Sometimes the APPS can cause this.

APPS 1 more vote.
try the simple apps reset procedure, it fixed mine and i got better fuel mileage for some unkown reason.

if i remember correct, remove battery cables, turn key on, let it set as long as possible, like over night.
turn key off, hook up cables, turn key on, push loud pedal to the floor slowly, let it up slowly, turn off key.
