Crank no start but runs fine once started
So I am currently encountering a strange issue with my 24v truck ran and started fine the day before I parked it over night when I went out to start it this morning it didn’t crank on the first try like it normally does but started on my second attempt I thought the problem was me not holding the key long enough so I didn’t think anything of it and drove it and got it warm when I went to start it again it did the same thing but didn’t crank on the second try I did mange to get it started after a few try’s and it ran and drove fine when I got it home it wouldn’t start at all it did have occasional surging issues so I’m thinking that it might be a cam position sensor any thoughts?

What is the fuel pressure before the VP44?
Does nothing happen sometimes when you turn the key?... as in maybe the key tumbler itself is going out?

I couldn’t give you an exact pressure as I doubt have a pressure gauge but my lift pump is turning on and my key itself is working 100% of the time but when cranking it seems to be very low rpm

Slow cranking, usually means bad battery, poor connection, or it could be under heavy load like, if the truck was in gear say.

Also my tachometer doesn’t rise above the first line when cranking I saw something about that being related to the cam position sensor on another thread but not sure if that will fix the problem

By "didn't crank", do you mean not turn over at all? If so, you either have a bad electrical connection to the starter or a bad starter.
