Well, they sold me the wrong manifold. I shoulda known-

They do list a different # for a 2000 diesel. I'll try that I guess.

Did they give you a 12v manifold, or a 3rd gen?

1882 offered you his old on, atleast you know its gonna be right.

Yeah saw that after the fact. The NAPA books are just wrong they gave me 12-valve I got the right one now I guess we'll see how long it lasts. I just needed it done now otherwise I woulda taken 1882's offer. Gotta drag the sleds ice fishing on Wednesday! Thanx guys for all the info!

Just thought I would do a quick update. Napa, along with some other parts places dont offer the 24 valve manifold until M.Y. 2000 in their books. It is indeed made in China. It comes with a gasket for the turbo outlet- to exhaust pipe but NOT for the manifold to turbo.( The one you actually need-). The manifold to head bolt holes are over-sized for stress relief hopefully to reduce the cracking problems of the stock mani. I did not remove the turbo, merely pulled it down with the exhaust pipe still connected. There is NO way to get a torque wrench on all the bolts so I just did the best I could using 2 different sized ratchets and a wrench. We shall see-

There are lots of used ones out there. Going price is $100.00. Just get an 01 or 02. I believe Dodge (or cummins) changed the composition of the metal. Very few cracks, if any, on those yrs.

Ahhhh! Just read above. Sorry, thought you said NAPA unit did not fit.
