What do you have a case tractor? Fill out you sig. Have you cleaned out the crankcase vent bottle?

remove it from the engine and clean it up, then heat it up in a oven to about 300 degree's and then check it for leaks.

My vent bottle leaks oil all over the front of the engine and the damper. I believe the fluidamper is filled with viscous silicone or something similar. This stuff shouldn't leak out in liquid form I would think. I bet its from the puke bottle. Welcome to the site and go to the user cp and fill out your sig so we know what you are running. Kurt

the silicone is clear, and about 10X thicker then gear lube. Its most likely motor oil.

Fluidamper is a replacement balancer bolted to the front of the crankshaft.

just be sure that the fluidamper is not the leak source , you will take out a crankshaft in no time at all if it leaked out the silicone , reason for heating up the damper is to reduce the viscosity and check for leaks , there are also thickness checks you should do with a micrometer around the circumference of the balancer.

That crankshaft damage is a good point. Check the fluidamper website. Maybe you can get a phone # or something. You can degrease/clean the front of the engine really well and then dust it w/ baby powder and run it to normal op. temp and then check for a leak. It'll show up plain as day thru the powder. Kurt

Another area to check is the vacuum pump.
