Coolant Additives?
Are there any certain additives needed in the engine? I did a search and found that fleetgaurd makes Antifreeze. I was looking on Fleetgaurd's website and found that they also make the ES Optimax Converter which converts current anti freeze to theres. Just wondering cause we are gonna change ours shortly.
Thanks

According to Cummins, you do not need to add anything to your coolant in the B or ISB series.
This is a result of these engines being parent bore. The additives in coolant are there to help potect the liners against pitting, since there are no liners in your block, they say don't worry about it.
I find that keeping clean coolant in the thing, and PH testing every few months, makes all the difference in the world.

Throw some Shell Rotella ELC in there when you do the change and don't worry about it for a long long time! It only needs a "booster" at 300K and it's supposed to be good for 600K.
