Codes 0720 & 1693
Okay, decided to check the codes... 0720 came up first, then 1693 came up. I see that from reading a few threads that 1693 is atleast loosely related to VP44 failure... but what do each of the codes translate out to?
Truck runs fine, no loss in fuel pressure, no dead pedal, idle is perfect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P0720 Low Output Speed Sensor RPM Above 15 M.P.H.
1693 could just be related to the 0720, not necessarily VP related.
Just the code telling you there is a code.

Output speed sensor is in the tranny, I believe.
Most likely in various states of dying.
Is your speedometer showing any symptoms?
Auto tranny trucks get the speedo signal from this sensor, I think.
(or the PCM compares the rear pumpkin sensor and the output speed sensor to get the speedo signal)

No, not that I'm aware of. Tonight I watched the speedo incase it had anything to do with that(remembering you saying "above 15mph") and I wasn't able to notice anything.
What causes this? And do you know if its a relatively inexpensive fix or just the opposite?
