I once made a run in a Mack truck to Red Earth Creek, AB (approx. 250 miles north of Edmonton, AB, Canada) in the dead of winter. The automatic rad fins did not shut and the engine did not make sufficient heat to burn all the fuel. I had a major gelling problem after combustion. The engine had to be rebuilt.
Needless to say, I use a winter front on my Dodge.

Marine no sense posting the experience here the Dodge manual in the glove box says your "wrong" and they are right. Absolutely not possible to encounter this condition outside of their testing parameters read the book-wait numbness in your body made you miss understand the true reality of the cold the truck really was OK. Red Earth AB and I thought only brain dead Canadians went there. PK
