My check engine light went off by itself after about a week. Didnt disconnect the battery or anything.

I thought you had to clear it and the code with a scanner or disconnect the battery

Du it go off by itself?

once the problem is no longer there, the code is considered inactive and after several heat up/cool down cycles, the cel will go away.
