Cheap front disc brake pads
#3
I have used several flavors of pads including the over priced lifetime pads and it is not the quality of the pads that cause this problem. Because of what I believe to be a poor quality control by Dodge, I have had to replace three left rotors in 90,000 miles. I have done a lot of reading and studying on this matter and have discovered that one thing you must do is to take a file and look for burrs on the calibers and pull your slide pins and anti-squeek plates and lube all parts well.
I recently installed a set of Sam's pads, EBC slotted rotors, replaced slide pins and anti-squeek plates and smoothed all edges on calibers and lubed the heck out of the system and so far so good.

I have always used the cheaper pads and like the feel of them much better than the lifetime pads, never had any problems with them pulling though. The lifetime pads are so hard (high metal content), they will toast a set of expensive rotors in no time where I live(hills). Usually most parts stores have three choices of pads, I like the softer (cheaper) pads. Don't know what would cause them to pull to one side if you change them both as a set, must be a caliper problem. I just sold a 99 dually and had a caliper stick on one side which made it pull to the left. If that is the case you should replace them both.......

The front had new rotors and farely new pads when I got the truck ,seller claimed new calipers too.
The rotors do look new. The rest off what The preivios owner told me I assume is B.S.
It probably Is Bad calibers. The guy I bet ran the pads to metal and hammered the old rotors. Calipers are probably original and sticking.
