I doubt anyone has ever lost a rear end with the regular stuff if the level is kept up, outside of a defect?

I believe I read NAPA is a good place to buy a new seal?
Confused!
I have a buddy that towed a 5th wheel with his 99. He took it to the dealer around 60k miles to have the factory fill on his rear end replaced and the Diff. was shot, had to be replaced. My owners manual states if you are going to tow the diff. fluid should be replaced with synthetic.

I'm running a Mag Hytech cover with Royal Purple and did not have to add any aditional friction modifier.

As far as the seal. The factory cover on mine was sealed with silicone. No gasket.
