I want to know if you can add to much diesel fuel supplement.I have a 2001 dodge dually. I use the power service diesel fuel suplement. I like it but some off my freinds add a whole bottle of power service and add a bottle of marvel mystery oil for every 35 gallons of diesel fuel.I just want some other opions. I dont want to be to foolish andand tear something up.

On my PSD I tested this idea of if a little is good a lot must be better and what I found was no increase in mpg , the engine actually got louder, (probably from the increase in cetane) and of course it cost me more per tank.

So on my CTD I use about 12oz's each full tank and gain 1-1.5mpg, a little quieter fuel pump and the powerservice pays for itself too.

Yes, you can use too much. Read the label, they mostly say a few ounces per gallon. I doubt that 2 quarts will really hurt too much, other than your wallet, and after a certain point there is no benefit. Also there is the possibility of build-up of deposits on the pistons and heads.

Power Service that I use says to use 3oz. per 10 gallons of fuel.

On the Howes bottle, it gives the reccomended amounts, but it also says that too much won't harm anything.

I use a 1/4 of a bottle of Lucas. I get 1-1.5mpg better with it every time I use it.
