Breather Bottle - Modified!
Ok Guys & Gals...
I been on this site for awhile now and listen to many people take about relocating the breather bottle or completely removing it. So far there has been draw back concerning the locale of it. Freezing up, spilling oil, etc. Also I've seen manufactures ideas of a cure but usually involves a lot of money!
For $7 - $10 dollars you can make something that works.
So far I have never lost any oil from steep downhill grades. (Little drippage - Never added oil!)
It has not froze up or plugged up.
The design path of the tube will keep the vent above the highest point of the engine at all times. So it can't blow oil out of the tube. Also being 70% of the tube is on top of the engine it cannot freeze up!
NO MORE smell of oil vapor!
This system has been on my truck now for about 4 months now and enjoyed it. No more mess in front on the engine or radiator!
I use my truck normally for getting firewood and skidding trees. So yes I must climb steep grades to pull out the logs I want. So I worked the my head to find someting that works with out big money or big mod's to the truck... Oh Yeah I could of taken the vent relocation from the dealer... (I didn't like the design of it... )
