Wow! That is the best mod I have ever done!!!

I have lived with this "slush o matic trashmission" for a long time. My trashmission used to shift from 1st, 2nd and to 3rd at 20 miles per hour for years! The lock up torque converter used to lock and unlolock at different speeds, slip and slide for ever!!!! Now, it shifts peeeeeerfeeeect!! 1st to 2nd at about 10, 2nd to third about 25 to 30 and into fourth with SOLID lockup about 40......Love it !!!!!!


Yesterday I decided to try the SK TFOD transmission kit from Transgo and it took two days of being very careful to follow the directions to the tee.......Oh my Gosh.....I have a different truck!!!

The TFOD kit from transgo has made such a difference! The truck shifts like it supposed to now....1st through over drive works soooooo much better....

I used to have problems with the torque converter clucth locking and unlocking constantly, I tried everything including the aluminum foil thing and it did not work.. This transmission kit was a little difficult to install, but was well worth the money. I wanted to sell the truck before I installed this,, now, I would not sell it for any amoount, This thing works!!!!

I love this mod, and would suggest it to everyone that has a 47re transmission but if you are not mechanically inclined, you need to have it installed by a good mechanic that knows about these transmissions.

I'm looking forward to installing TransGo kit in my 2000. Had a spare VB so built it. Just haven't had time to service tranny and install VB. I'm looking forward to install. Yes the conversion is tedious but reread instructions enough time while looking at pictures it goes well. Even decided to invest in Valvoline syn ATF+4 fluid while changing. Will report also when installed.
