Brand new Airtex-leaking

Brand new Airtex-leaking
This is more of a rant than anything, but something to watch for too. Brand new Airtex pump installed last week. Finally got the truck going again. Today I cleared out the old companion code P1693. Run codes again, and ECM gives me a P0230 (Fuel pump.....). Checked relay, plug, all good. Get under the truck and fresh little puddles of fuel. Check my drain line, inlet and outlet, filter to ip, ip all are good, no fluid inline or at connections. Top of the pump is leaking on me on the block side!!!! Something to watch for. I'll have to drive it until at least tomorrow if not Thursday night. Before anyone says anything, the FASS does come to mind, by my gut says as soon as I do it the ip will go and I don't want to pony up for both right now. Hope this helps someone.

When I installed mine, I could not get it to stop leaking at the outlet fitting of the pump. I took the supplied copper washers off and put the old rubberized washers from the dead stock lift pump on. It stopped the leaking.

Unfortunately verified a couple of "pinhole" leaks at the below the bracket. Put the new one on and running like the last one did first day. Think this will work out better. Thanks for the heads up on the washers.
