Brake Pads...Hawk, or what..I need some BAD!
Well my front pads are shot and I need some replacements SOON. What should I get? I want something better than the autozone crap. Also who has good deals on Hawks or is there a better pad out there?
Also doesn't Hawk make two different types of pads?

Honestly I like performance friction pads found at autozone, checker etc. They do make noise if you don't turn the disk or buy new disks but dollar for dollar they last me quite well.
I just went to their site and it looks like they are not selling at the chain stores any longer but can be found in my town still at performance shops, I'm sure more $$ but...

edit again, they can be bought at Checker, kragen chain stores. Just checked online.

I used to buy autozone pads and they worked well in the past. This past summer when I changed out pads, i used autozone again and MAN they were DUSTY!!!!!! i've never had that problem from autozone pads, so I chucked those and went with Hawk through Geno's, I believe. Just my experience.

Looking for an upgrade? I have used the "Vortex" brake pads for the past 2 break jobs. I have 190K miles on my rig and these are VERY heavy duty and very little to no dust. Reasonably priced too..........
