Braided wire on the VP44 harness

I am wondering if any of you know where this wire goes, it is a bare or un-insulated braided wire that comes from the wire harness going to the inj pump. Where does it go? just hanging there.

Have a picture by chance? I looked on my 01 & saw no uninsulated wire.

Sure do.

You can see it there. If you look up “VP44 wiring diagram “ it shows the “shield wire “
