Borgenson Box And Shaft Installed
this weekend I had the borgenson steering box and shaft installed on the truck. I went to Rip at sourceautomotive.biz he is now a borg dealer. I have alot of trust in the work and ability from him and his staff. (as most already know this). Robert came in on a saturday due to the drive I have to make and work schedule big plus on that. the install went rather smoothly probley quicker if I didn't BS with Robert as much but when you see the new shop and all the other trucks in there and whats going on sorta hard not to.
the oem shaft did have play and a wore joint on the box end of the shaft and showing signs on the top half. after install and burping the system with fluid the truck now reminds me of response that a 3rd gen truck has. robert had to cut off and reweld the tab for the DSS shaft bearing not a big deal everything went smooth. it took alittle bit of the 3 hour drive home to get used to the smoother and quicker response of the steering on the freeway.
post pics when I can. all I can say is thumbs up for sourceautomotive and Robert. thanks again.
