Best Gauge Ranges

what ive learned from DTR is that I need to get some good gauges.

So please fill in the blanks on the ones I dont know.

Fuel Pressure- 0-30 psi
Boost gauge- 0- 40 or 60 psi?
Tranny ?
Pyro?

I have oil pressure gauge and stock dash of course, did I leave any out?

Gauges in general are calibrated so that the "normal" run position is at 12 o'clock. Many types of gauges can be rotated in their socket/wells to achieve this. They do this so as a cursory glance will tell if something is NOT normal.
However rotating gauges is not possible in our trucks application so to achieve the 12 o'clock position we must choose a gauge that is calibrated that way.

Normal fuel pressure for a stock truck/pump is 12-15 psi so 30 psi would do. However should you want to add a bigger/better pump then go with 40psi.

Normal boost is 20psi so 40, but again if going to go higher then go with 60 psi.

Trans temp? not really needed on a 5/6 speed manual.

EGT/Pyro? some like the colored (green, amber, red) bands some just the numbers. I prefer the colors as again it's easier to read.

As the most common place for gauge installation is the A pillar and the pod only has places for three gauges I would leave out the trans temp.

Until they come out with a HUD (head up display) for our trucks, the easier the gauges are to read the more we keep our eyes on the road..

30psi fuel

60psi boost if you EVER expect to modify the truck to add power. Stockers only need a 30psi.

I use the Isspro EV series gauges and the pyro is the multicolored type.

I also used the Isspro's and there are numbers on the gauge as well as the colors. As for what's too hot?? It depends where you mount the sensor, before the turbo or after. Mines before the turbo and towing 12500lbs in the mountains I get up into the red 1250ish

I'd say pyro up to 1500 and tranny up to 240....
