battery problems
Well last year i had a problem in the winter where my engine wouldnt turn over in the winter when the temps were under 40s. The batterys tested out fine and if plugged in it would fire like it was 80 out. I bought new interstate worked great all year now its cold and the same problem. If its plugged it it starts fine. Not plugged in and i have to jump it or put the charger on. Batterys test out fine when mechanic freind tested them. Theres no power being drawn from them when the key is off. They just wont turn over in the cold if it sits for 8 hrs or more. Im losing my mind with this truck and my quad with electrical problems. Any help is appreciated.

I have a similar problem have diehards that are 1.5 years old, if the truck sits in the cold for more then a couple days(not may dd) it has not enough power to start unless you plug it in to warm it up, now that it getting really cold I'm worried that plugging it in will not be enough.

I'd have the starter checked. If it does the samething with different batteries, then I would look in a different direction and that would be the dirrecton of the starting circuit.

Theres a brand new starter in it mabey 60 starts on it. It only happens on first start in weather in the 30s or less or if it sits like 8 or mores hours in really cold weather. But if its plugged in its fine, starts like im in florida. I took the grid heater wires off today in hopes of getting extra starting power. I know it will start down to 0 with out the grid heater.
