Bad shutter under load and cold outside
Truck: 2001 HO 6 speed 164k miles
It was 25 degrees yesterday morning while pulling my tractor down to the hunting club, ~5 tons total weight.
In 6th gear trying to pull hills , the truck had a bad shudder. In 5th no issues. It warmed up to 64 degrees that afternoon, and no issues going home.
Fuel filter bout 10000 miles on it
Vp44 and lift40k miles on it,
Mods are only an edge ez and rv 275 injectors.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for the replies.
I did not smell anything like the clutch slipping.
Just seemed weird that it only did the surging when it was cold and not in the afternoon after the air temp rose to 64 degrees. It is the original clutch and I have not noticed it slipping. The last truck I had when the clutch started going out the Rpms would climb and you could feel it slipping.
