So what was the verdict? I would have guessed throw out bearings only because I had and old car with the same symptoms. It was the bearings. Replaced the entire clutch.

well it turns out it was the input shaft and it took the mainshaft with it. so I just ened up calling the fellas from high gear transmissions and had them send me one. But nothing was wrong with the throw out at all.
