axle swap

Hey Guys,
I am thinking of swapping my 2000 3/4 ton rear axle for a 2001 C & C dually rear axle and installing a flat bed. I have a question about the swap, is this a direct bolt in or will I need to move mounting brackets? I have heard the C & C 1 ton frame is more narrow than a 3/4 ton. Just wanting to know what I'm getting into before I start.
Thanks, Gunnie

I'm pretty sure your right on with the c&c axle being more narrow, it's also more narrow than the regular dually. I'm not sure about the frame being more narrow though, especially between an 01 and 02. But, I'll sit back and watch and see what others say as I am interested to know myself.
