i used valvoline atf+3 and got filter from autobarn for $12.00. Dont get the filter from dealer they wanted $45.00. The gasket from the dealer should be better then the one in the fram kit i purchased. that u should buy from the dealer, just the gasket. All brands of filters even the oem are made by one company spx filtran. so shop by price. dont use atf+4, stick with +3. just make sure everything is good and clean when u reassemble the filter and pan, hydraluics dont like even the smallest amount of dirt. just remember 72 INCH POUNDS i almost made that mistake once. after i did my bands the tranny shift much better

Marky mark, check on the thread I started about changing the fluid and adjusting the bands. There's some good instructions in there about changing the bands and how to get the most fluid out possible. If your tranny came with +4 in it, then run +4. If it didn't, then run +3. The +4 is only available at the dealer and costs $20/gal (didn't ask for quarts cause I'm buying 3 gallons). The filter and gasket you can pick up pretty much anywhere.

Thanks. I'll check with my friend on the right torque wrench. He's very knowledgable with tool. I'm going to go search for ATF+3 today and a filter. I'll probably tackle the change next weekend.
