SmartLock from Banks?
Greetings all,
I was browsing the Banks site hoping to find some kind of simple solution for braking with my 47re, when I came across their "SmartLock" trans brake. They say "By automatically increasing the transmission-line pressure and locking the torque converter in third gear, Banks SmartLock enables the Banks Brake to optimize deceleration. SmartLock improves the transmission holding capacity while braking and prevents excess transmission slippage. Locking the torque converter also reduces the transmission-fluid temperature while braking, which greatly prolongs transmission life."
It sounds like it only works in 3rd gear. Has anyone heard any news about the use of this one??
