Someone was saying it have 4 wheel discs that year. Anything else that was a change for the better over prior years?

I don't know if you would consider it better but the MAP sensor is different on 02's than 01's. Been there, done that. You can still order an adapter for any performance attachments you may have, to convert the signal.

rear discs were a model year 2001 change. (early build were still drums, hence the label as 01(drum) or 01.5(disc).
2002 seems to be more about less...
some of the deletions were the hood liner, the grab handle inside, the rear cup holders... consensus seems to be that Dodge ran out of parts in their parts bins for the 2nd gen trucks while gearing up for the 3rd gen trucks

The front axle is different, it is still a Dana 60 but it has no CAD and takes a special diff. cover

The Hood liner was deleted as early as 2001.5 as mine does not have it. Also the rear cup holders. I at least still have the passenger side OOOHHH CRAP handle. Wish it had the drivers side one also.

and where are these rear cup holders? anybody have a pic since i don't have them hood liner would be black by now as my underhood is now

my 2002 has the passenger grab handle.....and i have a dana 70 up front with the dana 80 in the rear, from the factory.

Sorry you don't have a "70" there were no 70's used in these trucks.(in the front)(iv'e seen a lotta claims to having 70's) they are 60-2's just a little heavier 60 thats all. The 2500/3500's use the same front axle assm. all manuel trucks got the 80 rear. auto trucks (2500's got the 70,3500's the 80.. just my .02$

My 01 got the rear disc and rear cup holders when I checked off SLT plus ( leather ).

The rear cup holder is at the base of the center console.

Mine was a Nov. 00 build so I have the hood insulation ( SLT plus thing again ) as well as double insulation everywhere else.
