Why make ANOTHER opening in the valve cover when a perfectly good one is already there?

I fully agree with that! I would rather try to use the existing hole. Once you start hacking away you can never go back. I think it would be easier drilling a hole right through the filler cap, installing a barb fitting then route a hose. Who needs a filter when there isnt one now!

Hey... I like that idea! ;D Can you please post a pic of how you routed your breather hose? I would suspect that you did this without having any "low spots" in it where oil could accumulate and block the breather tube. I would think if it's a straight shot up to the valve cover without any bends, that would be a good thing because gravity would prevail but I just want to see your breather hose setup.

Thanks!

Don't have a pic, one good thing is it is almost straight down to the motor mounts so the hose goes down to it, kinda looped sideway toward the firewall to keep away from the exhaust then just below the motor mount to the axle. so no low spots. also did a angle cut so airstream makes a vacumme to draw air out.
The thing about my setup, is the front of the valve cover is unchanged and the item is hard to see under the firewall so it is cleaner looking.
