Adjusting Valve Lash tonight

Adj. the valves tonight and i read that the spec where .010 Intake and .020 Exhaust? are these just the recommended spes? are there better specs to run to get better performance or less noisy?

I think most people will tell you .08 and .18
10/20 is stock but I'd go a little tighter.
That's what I did.

dont go too tight, you run the risk of the valve not closing completely, which will burn it. if it cannot transfer heat to the head, it will burn.

I set mine at the recomended .010 and .020

Alright, I'll be the **** whacko. I did .008 and .018; except for #6.

Since it typically runs hotter, I put it at the factory rec. .010 and .020.
