Acceptable lift pump presuures
What are acceptable lift pump pressures????
I rigged up a temporray setup just to check on the health of my LP and got the following.
13 at idle
10 cruise 60-65 MPH
8 WOT
What do you all think?

I personally wouldn't want to go much lower than that at WOT.
Dodge however thinks that as long as fuel is flowing everything is working.
So, 1 psi at WOT is good in their book, however wrong they may be.

As I understand it, 8 is OK at WOT. Not as much as I would like to see, but still " acceptable " have to love that word.
My LP puts out 17 at idle, and 11 at WOT under loaded conditions. ( non-scientific, but very real 9000 lb trailer )
Unfortunately my IP is currently taking a dump.
I do believe that the pressure tests have been set aside, and a flow test is now being used to verify LP health and vitality. Although this might work in the shop of the " ideal world trucking company" non restricted flow means nothing, if you add some restriction and it cannot build pressure.
Just my $0.02

I hear ya..
One other thing, I just realised that I meaured PRE FILTER I'm going to have to hook it back up tommorow and try it post to see how much difference there is. I think I should just pick up a new LP and slap it on there for good measure. I thought I had heard guys say on here that 8 was near a minnimum at WOT. I'm just looking for verrification. I've never changed the LP.

LP is easy to change, I usually pop the fuel filter housing out of the way to do it. Takes 20 minutes to 1/2 hour for the most part, including cleanup.
It's one of those wake up in the AM, grab a coffee, and do it before you wake up jobs. Easier to take.
Have fun with it.
