99 auto trans shifting acting up
i have a 99 automatic transmission, and around overdrive gear, the transmission cant make up its mind whether or not to stay in over drive or shift down, this happens right around 55mph, my speedometer is off because i have bigger tires on the truck, but when i take the battery cables and let it sit for a while it seems to take care of it, but the second im on the highway and i make it down shift it starts acting up again! does anyone know what this could be? and how i can fix it? also is how many times can i reset the computer by taking the battery cables? i don't want to mess it up, and is there an easier way to rest the computer in it?
thanks

I had a problem with mine hunting gears and came to find out I had a broken wire in the harness that went to the transmission. A Dodge dealer wanted $2500 minimum to rebuild trans. Trans shop owner found wire fixed it and installed new servos for around $500.

Alright sounds good, ima give em all a try an see what fixes it! I just took the battery cables off an it reset everything an its not doing it but I know the second I make it down Shift on the highway it'll start, so hopefully one of these methods fix it, thanks again
and yes it started up again, i had to gun it yesterday and sure enough its happening again.
