5th gear nut good still no go??
My clutch blew up this morning. 5th gear was working fine before the springs and all broke loose. Got it home. Took the trans out installed a factory clutch pulled the transmission apart. It all looked good cleaned it up and put it all back together. Get on the road it drives fine but no 5th gear??????

You took cover off and it excaped right under your watchful eyes. Sneaky.
I assume can not get shifter into 5th gear position?? jamed linkage to 5th gear. If can get lever into position but no 5th, then left something out or assembled wrong. JMHO

Tore into it this morning the 5th gear splines to the mainshaft are completly gone there is nothing there. The splines are not even the length of the whole gear go figure the new and supposly improved main shaft is $$210.00 not to bad I guess.
